Ahman Green Among Finalists For NFL Ground Player Of The Week

Green Bay Packers running back Ahman Green is among the finalists for FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week honors for games played on September, 14-15. Stephen Davis of the Carolina Panthers and Jamal Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens are the other finalists, the NFL announced Tuesday.

Fans can vote for one player on NFL.com from Tuesday morning through noon on Thursday to determine the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week. The FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week will be announced Thursday on NFL.com and Friday in USA Today.

A closer look at the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week finalists:

Green Bay's Ahman Green rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown on 23 rushes - averaging close to 7.0 yards per carry - in the Packers' 31-6 win over Detroit.

Carolina's Stephen Davis rushed for 142 yards, against one of the stingiest defenses, on 33 carries in the Panthers' 12-9 win over Tampa Bay.

Baltimore's Jamal Lewis rushed for an NFL single-game record 295 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries in the Ravens' 33-13 win over Cleveland. Lewis' scores were on runs of 82 and 63 yards.
