Registration for the 17th Annual Packers 5K Run presented by UW Health at Lambeau Field will increase by $5 for both adults and children after July 8. Interested participants are encouraged to register online at www.packers.com/5k before the deadline to receive a discounted rate of $30 for adults and $20 for children (12 and younger).
After July 8, registration fees will increase to $35 for adults and $25 for children.
The event, presented by the Packers and UW Health, is a run/walk set for 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 25.
The family friendly run/walk weaves through neighborhood streets, with the route taking participants past Titletown before ultimately going through Lambeau Field and around the famed gridiron. The event has a special finish line – the Packers' 'G' painted on turf located in the parking lot of the historic stadium.
All participants will receive a bib number and a timing chip along with a Packers' 5K Run tech shirt. In addition, photos will be taken on the course and will be available at no cost on the Packers 5K Run website.
The weekend's festivities will also include the Packers 1K Kids Run presented by CareSource. Kids 10 years old and younger will have the opportunity to run a Lambeau Lap on Friday, July 24, at 6 p.m. Registration for the Kids Run is $10 and all participants will receive a Packers Kids Run T-shirt and a logoed bag. The Packers are partnering with local charities to raise money through the event. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Volunteer Center of Brown County and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin.
The weekend will help get fans ready for football season, with Packers Training Camp presented by UW Health Kids kicking off on Wednesday, July 29. Packers Family Night is set for Friday, Aug. 7, and the team's home preseason game is Friday, Aug. 28, against the Arizona Cardinals.
