GREEN BAY – The South Carolina Football Hall of Fame has announced that former Packers defensive back Bob Jeter is the Legacy Inductee in its Class of 2025.

Jeter, who died in 2008 at the age of 71, played eight years for the Packers, from 1963-70, and was the starting cornerback opposite Pro Football Hall of Famer Herb Adderley on Vince Lombardi's Super Bowl I & II championship teams.

A two-time All-Pro and two-time Pro Bowl selection, Jeter was born in Union, S.C., and played collegiately at Iowa, where he was the MVP of the 1959 Rose Bowl as a running back.

Drafted in the second round by the Packers in 1960, Jeter played two years with the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League before coming to Green Bay. Lombardi converted him to cornerback in 1965. He wound up playing in 107 games for the Packers and intercepted 23 passes.

Jeter was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 1985, and he's also a member of the University of Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame and the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame.
