Former Packers Koonce and Mayes to meet with fans this weekend

Former players at Packers Pro Shop Saturday, Tundra Tailgate Zone and Legends Club Sunday

Leading up to the Green Bay Packers game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Dec. 23, featured Packers alumni George Koonceand Derrick Mayeswill be signing autographs and visiting with fans in the Packers Pro Shop on Saturday, Dec. 22, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. 

The Tundra Tailgate Zone will also feature Koonce on gameday* *from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., where he will be visiting with fans and signing autographs. More information on the Tundra Tailgate Zone can be found online at www.packers.com/gameday/tundra-tailgate-zone.html.

Also on Sunday, Mayeswill be visiting with fans and signing autographs during that same time in the Legends Clubon the Associated Bank Club Level, an area accessible to game attendees with suite or club seat tickets, as a guest of the 'Alumni Meet and Greet.'

Koonce, undrafted out of college, signed with the Green Bay Packers as free agent in 1992 after a short stint with the World Football League's Ohio Glory. From humble beginnings, the linebacker seized the opportunity and became an eight-year starter and a Super Bowl champ for the Packers. He played in 122 career games and twice led the team in tackles while posting three 100-tackle seasons.

Mayes, a second-round pick in 1996, was a valued contributor at wide receiver for the Packers' powerful offenses during the 1996-98 seasons. Playing in 33 games, the sure-handed Mayes helped the team to three playoff appearances, including Super Bowls XXXI and XXXII. 

Both former Packers players will be introduced on Lambeau Field during pregame festivities.
