Harlan Will Miss Hall Of Fame Ceremonies Due To Illness

Green Bay Packers Chairman and CEO Bob Harlan regrettably will not be able to attend the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremonies for Reggie White on Saturday.

Harlan felt ill Wednesday night and associate team physician Dr. John Gray admitted him to St. Mary's Hospital on Thursday for some tests. He is being held for observation in the hospital for a suspected gallstone.

All indications are Harlan will released from the hospital at some point this weekend, but he has been advised by doctors not to travel to Canton, Ohio, on Saturday. He also is not likely to attend Packers Family Night at Lambeau Field. He is expected to return to work on Monday.

"I didn't want to miss Reggie's induction for anything," Harlan said. "The timing of this is unfortunate. Everyone knows how much Reggie meant to the Packers, the city of Green Bay, and everyone he came to know. His induction will be a truly historic day for his family and this franchise, and I'm extremely disappointed I can't be there."
