Jacob Misiorowski full game: 15 strikeouts, no walks, one hit and tops his own MLB record of 103.7 and throws a 105 heater.
With Spoff in attendance, no less. That might be better than throwing a Maddux. Any of y'all see "The Scout"? The Miz is like Steve Nebraska come to life.
Thomas from Middleburg, FL
Hi Wes, this is not a question, but a much appreciated "Thank You." You not only posted and answered my question, which was a sincere curiosity, but you answered it completely and professionally. I enjoyed the reminder of Jordy, Cobby and Davante trend-setting.
For every great quarterback the Packers have had, a slew of talented receivers has caught those passes. Along the way, a standard of excellence has been set in that room, and it's passed down from one generation to the next. It's been great watching Christian Watson become that guy.
Laura from Arlington, VA
Thoughts on minicamp?
It was great to get back to football and also getting to know the new players on the Packers' roster. But nothing beats what awaits us on the other side of this summer siesta. If training camp is the appetizer before dinner, I guess minicamp was the bread?
Ray from Phoenix, AZ
If we are to believe the defense outdid the offense during OTAs, what are the major differences in the Jonathon Gannon vs. the Jeff Hafley version?
I don't want to get too much into scheme right now, but Gannon's rush packages impressed me. Javon Hargrave talked after an OTA practice open to the media about Gannon's proclivity for getting his pass rushers in favorable one-on-one situations and I see why. When Gannon puts seven in the box, there's no telling who's rushing the QB.
Mick from UK
Which player will have the most sacks/TFLs after four games?
Lukas Van Ness and Devonte Wyatt are strong possibilities, but my dark horse prediction would be Edgerrin Cooper. I think Cooper will shine in this defense. It's perfect for his skill set, especially with Zaire Franklin directing the defense.
Mike from Baraboo, WI
What game are you most looking forward to this season?
Packers and Bears. Lambeau Field. Week 5.
Jaime from Nevis, MN
Are there any true NT still available on the free agent market?
There are a few out still there, but I don't think the Packers need one. I assume Hargrave and Warren Brinson will be back at the start of training camp, and hopefully Wyatt at some point. In the meantime, Chris McClellan and Jonathan Ford looked good in OTAs and minicamp. Ford is still a huge D-tackle but looked a bit leaner in camp and forced his way into the backfield more than a few times.
Jay from Lutz, FL
Brandon Cisse referred to the large number of coordinator/coaches that have input on his performance. Could having too many bosses disrupt his development?
No, because it's not like the rookie is being told different things from different coaches. Every position coach now has an assistant more or less and they are delivering the same message.
Todd from Saugus, CA
Do you think that the Packers can win the North this year, even though we may start shorthanded?
I do. The Packers have been in the conversation the past three seasons. I feel like this is the year they reestablish themselves as the team to beat in the NFC North.
Scott from Issaquah, WA
What do you think of the NFL's decision to add a No. 7 seed to the playoffs? I still think it was a dumb decision, although we've had three much more exciting Januarys because of it. There also could have been significant leadership changes in GB if those all turned out to be playoff misses.
I hated it at first, but now I love it – and not because it has benefitted the Packers three years in a row. I like it because it enhanced the value of the regular season. By having a No. 7 seed, it gives the top-seeded teams in the NFC and AFC a distinct advantage over the rest of the conference.
Craig from Appleton, WI
With all the discussion around international expansion, does it surprise you there isn't more push to establish a team in Canada? I know they have the CFL, but with around eight million people in the Toronto area, it would seem they could support both.
The Bills flirted with idea of playing in Toronto for a few years, but that went away in 2014 and there hasn't been much discussion about it since. The NFL hasn't even played a game in Canada since that preseason fiasco in Winnipeg between the Packers and Raiders in 2019.

I knew that Trey Smack was great from 40-plus yards (83.3%), but I didn't realize from 30-39 yards a dismal (66.6%). OUCH. My first reaction is, uh oh. When would real concern set in, late training camp or preseason games?
Again, I heard nothing but praise regarding Smack's performance prior to the practices open to the media. I'm not sure what was going on, but you gotta get your process right and make the kicks. Smack needs to pick himself up, learn from it and reset for training camp. Because Lucas Havrisik isn't going anywhere. That's a legitimate competition…just like I said it was going to be when Brandon McManus – still unsigned, by the way – was released.

Y'all are there and most of us fans are not. What are your top takes on the rookies and UDFAs to date?
I liked what I saw from Cisse. He's gonna push that room in training camp. Isaiah Neyor is not a rookie, but the former undrafted free agent had a nice offseason. Neyor kept catching passes and making plays. It reminded me of Allen Lazard six years ago. Neyor had a drop with the No. 1 offense in a late two-minute situation of the final practice but was otherwise solid. RJ Maryland did well with the reps he was given at a beat-up tight end position, too.
Ward from Park City, IL
When will the practice schedule be released, and in your opinion, what would be the best day of the week to attend? Thanks, and see you at the Super Bowl! GO PACK GO!
Soon, according to Matt LaFleur when we met with him last Thursday. It does sound like the first practice will be July 29, though. The best day to attend is in the eye of the beholder. The weekends are busier, especially that opening one, but sometimes the mid-week practices in pads provide more meat on the bone without the large crowds.
James from Appleton, WI
I feel more optimistic about the offensive line going forward, but I wonder if Brian Gutekunst, in the wee hours of a sleepless night, counts down the 2023 draft like sheep and pauses at the fifth round, thinking that an offensive lineman instead of a backup QB would have been so nice.
Fair, but that's the draft, right? You win some. You lose some. Sean Clifford didn't work out, but the Packers have a rather strong track record in the fifth round…including the other fifth-round pick they made that year.
Matthew from Clarkston, MI
Regarding the mental lapse question yesterday, my mind immediately went to Leon Lett and the Thanksgiving game against Miami. I remember watching the game and him sliding into the ball with several teammates waving everyone away from the ball. One simple lapse cost Dallas that game.
But made me remember Leon Lett forever, so he had that going for him…

I had to read more to understand and waited to see if this was asked. What are your thoughts on the judge's decision for an injunction with Texas Tech QB Sorsby? I figured with him betting on games on his own team this was an easy no. Gambling may not be allowed at Bushwood, but it looks like it is for football. Since this was a judge's decision not the NCAA, I could see it happening in any pro sport now.
I don't like it and I'm gonna leave it at that.
The Green Bay Packers hosted the 27th annual Junior Power Pack Kids Clinic inside the Don Hutson Center on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Not a question so much as a thank you to Mike saying he deletes mentions of fantasy football. I myself am just burned out with people wearing team jerseys and saying, "Well, at least my fantasy team did good," then in the next statement whine about how gambling has ruined pro sports. Thanks again Mike!
My longstanding theory is sports betting has played a significant role in the proliferation of vitriolic reactions on social media aimed at specific players and coaches.
Chad from La Crosse, WI
Hey Wes, I read you pulled your hammy running the 40 at Titletown last year. I also partook in that event but didn't get injured. Did you try kicking a field goal? How'd that go? Thanks flash!
As Lauren Anderson and Jennifer Ward can attest, it took me 12 tries to finally make a field goal from 12 yards.
Patrick from Ashland, WI
Good morning, everyone! I saved reading yesterday to enjoy the column today. Thursday, I talked to an Italian guy who is starting up a food truck, and I thought of you guys and your travels. Being stuck in northern Wisconsin I don't get much fresh seafood, but my favorite is scallops. When you travel, where is your go-to place for seafood and what kind? Also, your favorite sandwich and what town?
It's a great year for seafood with Tampa, New Orleans and New England on the schedule. I look forward to having some oysters in the Big Easy. But I'm also a huge seabass fan and the best I've ever eaten was in Fort Lauderdale. We're not in Miami often, but I make it a point to get down by the ocean. I've yet to have a bad meal there. I'm not a big sandwich guy, though. I'd just as soon have a hot dog.

The gaffe response to Jason from Ammon, ID, seemed to specifically include high-stakes games. I would like to throw Mark Sanchez's "Butt Fumble" into the discussion. I can't think of a worse gaffe, not considering the stakes of the game. Leon Lett also comes to mind.
What a time that was to be alive. Forty consecutive weeks atop ESPN's "Not Top 10" cannot be wrong.
Kevin from Whitehall, WI
Still the greatest Ask Vic response ever is when he said, "If burglars broke into my house, tied me to a chair, used toothpicks to hold my eyes open and forced me to watch soccer, I would hold my breath until I died."
Safe to say Vic wasn't at the Titletown watch party on Friday night.

Mike: "Ephemeral"? I thought that was what my wife had during the birth of our second child until I looked up the definition! Thank you.
No one digs into the depths of the dictionary quite like Mike.
Steve from Ankeny, IA
"The Packers' version shan't be discussed." Thanks, Spoff!
Spoff is good for that, too.
Jennifer from Middleton, WI
Woah! Mr. DeMille has taken over as "Unscripted" producer! I like it! What lovely eyes you both have. I suppose a downside for you guys is you'll have to be careful if you ever film after lunch.
Ha. Dylan, our new producer, is off to a splendid start. He battled a little adversity with the technology in the studio on Tuesday and pushed through. It's gonna be a great Season 11 of "Unscripted."
Bryan from Steamboat Springs, CO
Are you all planning anything special for your 1,000th episode? Any chance we can get those clown costumes out of the archives?
One thousandth episode? Don't talk about the 1,000th episode. You kidding me? One thousandth episode. I just hope we get to 900. Have a great Monday.
