Lambeau Field is ready for the upcoming Kickoff Weekend, which begins with the Saturday evening concert featuring Blues Traveler, with special guest Everclear, and leads up to Sunday's home opener against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Kickoff Weekend festivities begin on Saturday, with food and beverages available at the Johnsonville Tailgate Village starting at 3 p.m., and live music at 5 p.m. Concert-goers can park for free on Saturday on the stadium's west side off of Ridge Rd., and parking is first-come, first-served. Attendees are also welcome to bring blankets and chairs to use during the show. The event is sponsored by Tundraland Home Improvements, Kohl's and Courtyard by Marriott.

On Sunday, the 31st Annual Packers Women's Association Food Drive, coordinated with Paul's Pantry, will take place prior to the game in the Lambeau Field parking lot, beginning at 1:25 p.m. PWA members and Paul's Pantry volunteers will collect non-perishable food items and cash donations prior to kickoff in the stadium parking lot and at the gates.

As Sunday's game is the Packers' home opener, the team is reminding fans to take extra care when purchasing game tickets from secondary sources. Fans are advised to buy tickets only from official sources and team partners such as NFL Ticket Exchange. Fans are encouraged to be diligent and do research before choosing to buy tickets from unofficial sources.

The organization also is reminding game attendees that no bags or purses are allowed inside Lambeau Field unless they are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and are no larger than 12" by 6" by 12". All fans entering Lambeau Field on gamedays will use walk-through metal detectors. For more information on gameday carry-in and safety policies, please visit http://www.packers.com/gameday/.

Additionally, two featured alumni are scheduled to make appearances Sunday; Willie Buchanon and John Brockington will be taking part in fan activities at the Johnsonville Tailgate Village and Legends Club, respectively, leading up to kickoff.

Prior to the national anthem, the Packers and WPS Health Solutions will be recognizing Zachary Harrison of the U.S. Air Force through Operation Fan Mail on the field.

The national anthem will be performed on the harmonica by Blues Traveler's John Popper. A flyover will be performed by two F-16 fighter jets with the 176 Fighter Squadron of the 115 Fighter Wing, Wisconsin Air National Guard.

The pregame festivities will also honor Luke Neumeyer from Mayville, Wis., as the "Shopko Kick-Off Kid." He started a safety patrol at his school, helping recess behavior referrals to decrease 50 percent. Learn more about Shopko's Kids Making a Difference at shopko.com/kickoffkid.

During halftime, the High School Quarterback Challenge, presented by HPE and Camera Corner, will feature players from Fox Valley Lutheran and Wrightstown High Schools in an on-field competition. Additionally, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater marching band will be performing on the field.

Fans entering the stadium will receive a rally towel courtesy of Tundraland Home Improvements, Kohl's and Courtyard by Marriott.

Making its regular-season debut on Sunday is the Johnsonville Tailgate Village, the permanent tailgating and event structure in Lambeau Field's east side parking lot. The JTV, along with the Lambeau Field parking lots, will open at 11:25 a.m. for ticketed and non-ticketed guests alike and will feature live music, food, beverages and a festive tailgating atmosphere.

The Lambeau Field Atrium, including 1919 Kitchen & Tap, Packers Hall of Fame and Packers Pro Shop, will be open to ticketed guests only beginning at 11:25 a.m., and stadium gates will open at 1:25 p.m. Visit http://www.packers.com/gameday/ for more information.
