GREEN BAY – Two picks in the second round, two defensive backs for the Packers.

With their second pick on Friday night, Green Bay chose North Carolina State safety Josh Jones at No. 61 overall.

Jones joins Washington cornerback Kevin King, the No. 33 pick, as rookies in the Packers' defensive backfield for 2017.

Jones (6-1, 220) racked up over 100 tackles last season to lead his team and intercepted three passes, giving him eight picks over his career for the Wolfpack. He had four INTs as a redshirt freshman back in 2014, second in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Known as an aggressive hitter, Jones has the size and speed teams look for in the back end. He clocked 4.41 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the combine, and he played both strong and free safety at N.C. State.
