Effort To Support Wisconsin Hunger Task Force And Paul's Pantry In Seventh Season

The Green Bay Packers and Sargento thus far in 2009 have raised $34,500 for the "Touchdowns for Charity" program to benefit the Wisconsin Hunger Task Force in Milwaukee County and Paul's Pantry in Green Bay.

For each touchdown scored by the Packers during the 2009 regular season, Sargento is donating $1,000 to the Hunger Task Force ($27,000 on 27 TDs thus far). Additionally, Sargento is donating $500 to Paul's Pantry for every touchdown scored by the team's wide receivers and tight ends ($7,500 on 15 TDs thus far).

Since partnering six years ago, Sargento – the official cheese of the Green Bay Packers and Lambeau Field – has contributed more than $422,500 to Wisconsin food charities such as the Hunger Task Force and Paul's Pantry.

Following each Packers home game, a running total of the money raised will be displayed on Lambeau Field's TundraVision, as well as announced via an in-game public address message. TundraVision and PA messages also are featured in-game after every Packers offensive touchdown.

Sargento, a family-owned, Wisconsin-based company, is supporting Packers' licensing throughout Wisconsin grocery retailers during the season with in-store displays and special product promotions to generate excitement with Packers fans. Sargento is also present at Lambeau in concessions with cheeseburgers featuring Sargento Sliced Natural Cheddar cheese. To learn more about Sargento visit www.sargento.com.
