The Green Bay Packers have signed G Cordell Volson to the practice squad. The transaction was announced Thursday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Volson (6-6, 315) is a fifth-year player out of North Dakota State who was originally selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth round (No. 136 overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft. He played in 50 games with 48 starts and started all three postseason games he appeared for Cincinnati in over his first three NFL seasons. Volson missed all of last season after being placed on injured reserve in late August. He signed with the Tennessee Titans this offseason and was released after training camp. Volson has started games solely at left guard at the NFL level but played both tackle and guard positions in college. He will wear No. 72 for the Packers.
