GREEN BAY to HOST BEARS IN MONDAY NIGHT MATCHUP

• The Packers will host the Bears in Week 9, the first meeting between the teams on Monday Night Football in Green Bay since 1997 and the third ever (also 1986) at Lambeau Field.
• The Packers extended their winning streak to four games with a 44-31 victory at Minnesota on Sunday night, the most points ever scored by Green Bay at the Metrodome.
• Green Bay has now had a winning streak of four or more games each of the past five seasons (2009-13), the only NFL team to do so over that span.
• Monday night will mark game No. 187 in the NFL's oldest rivalry. The Bears hold a 92-88-6 edge in the series (includes two playoff games, 1-1).
• It will be a matchup between two of the top three scoring teams in the NFL, with Chicago checking in at No. 2 (30.4) and Green Bay at No. 3 (30.3).
• The Packers have won six straight and eight of the last nine meetings against the Bears (including playoffs). Green Bay has swept the season series in three of the last four seasons (2009, 2011-12).
• Green Bay's current six-game winning streak against Chicago is its longest since a seven-game streak from 2000-03.
• Seven of the last 10 meetings between the Packers and Bears (including postseason) have been decided by eight points or less.
• This marks the eighth consecutive season (2006-13) that the divisional rivals have squared off in a prime-time contest (see page 2 for more).
• This is the 21st consecutive season (1993-2013) that Green Bay is appearing on Monday Night Football, the second-longest streak in the league behind only Denver's 22-year span (1992-2013). It is the Packers' lone MNF appearance this season.
• This Monday's night's game is the second in a stretch of three prime-time games for the Packers in the four weeks, with the Week 11 contest at the N.Y. Giants on Sunday night subject to flexible scheduling.
• The game against Chicago is the second of back-to-back NFC North contests for Green Bay. The Packers are in the midst of a six-game stretch that sees them play four divisional games.
• Green Bay enters Monday night's game having won 14 of its last 15 regular-season games against NFC North foes. The Packers' .933 winning percentage in the division over that span ranks No. 1 in the NFL.
• When the Packers take the field against the Bears on Monday, they will be looking to extend their home divisional winning streak to 11 games.
• Green Bay's 10-game winning streak against NFC North foes is tied for the second longest (2000-02) in franchise history since the league went to a divisional format in 1967. The Packers won 18 straight games against NFC Central opponents from 1994-98.
• Since 2006, Green Bay has a 34-10 overall record (.773) in NFC North games (No. 2 in the NFL) and a 19-3 mark (.864) at home (No. 2).
• The Packers have won 10 consecutive regular-season games at home and 23 of their last 24 (.958) at Lambeau Field.

• ESPN is in its eighth season as host of the most successful series in sports television history, Monday Night Football. Play-by-play man Mike Tirico is joined by analyst Jon Gruden for the 44th season of MNF broadcasts, withLisa Salters reporting from the sidelines.
• The contest also will air as a simulcast locally on WBAY (ABC, Ch. 2) in Green Bay and WISN (ABC, Ch. 12) in Milwaukee.
• Milwaukee's WTMJ (620 AM), airing Green Bay games since 1929, heads up the 50-station Packers Radio Network, with Wayne Larrivee(play-by-play) and two-time Packers Pro BowlerLarry McCarren (color) calling the action. The duo is in its 15th season of broadcasts together across the Packers Radio Network, which covers 42 markets in six states.
• WestwoodOne Sports will air the game across the country. Kevin Harlan(play-by-play) and Boomer Esiason (analyst) will call the action, with Hub Arkushreporting from the sidelines.Jim Gray hosts pregame and halftime shows.
• The broadcast is also available on Sirius Satellite Radio (WTMJ feed) as part of the network's NFL Sunday Drive.

LAST MEETING, REGULAR SEASON

• Green Bay clinched its second straight NFC North title with the win at Soldier Field, the Packers' sixth straight victory over the Bears.
• QB Aaron Rodgers connected on 23 of 36 passes for 291 yards and three TDs with no INTs for a 116.8 passer rating.
• All three of Rodgers' TD passes were to WR James Jones, a career high for him and the fourth multi-TD game of his career.
• WR Randall Cobb led the offense with 115 receiving yards on six receptions (19.2 avg.).
• Green Bay's defense limited QB Jay Cutler to just 135 yards on 12-of-21 passing, with CB Casey Hayward posting an interception. The Bears had just three players and only one wide receiver (Brandon Marshall, 6-56) catch a pass.
• The Packers held the Bears to just 190 yards of total offense on the afternoon.

stat of the week

• In Green Bay's 44-31 victory this past Sunday night at Minnesota, the Packers received a spark from a pair of long touchdowns within just over two minutes of each other in the second quarter.
• With just over 3:30 remaining in the first half, QB Aaron Rodgersfound WRJordy Nelson for a 76-yard TD pass. Just over two minutes later, rookie CB Micah Hyde returned a punt 93 yards for a touchdown.
• For the Packers, it marked just the second time in franchise history that they had a 75-yard TD catch and a 90-yard punt return for a TD in the same game.
• The only other time Green Bay accomplished that feat in a game came vs. Tampa Bay on Oct. 2, 1983. In that contest, WR Phillip Epps returned a punt 90 yards for a score and QB Lynn Dickey found FB Jessie Clark for a 75-yard TD pass. Ironically, both of those scores came in the same quarter as well (first quarter).
• The Packers also became the first NFL team to post a 90-yard punt return/75-yard TD catch in a game since the San Francisco 49ers did so vs. Washington on Nov. 21, 1988. WR John Taylor had a 95-yard punt return for a TD and WR Jerry Rice caught an 80-yard TD pass from QB Joe Montana.
