Packers, Boston Store team up with United Way for school supplies drive in Milwaukee

School supplies collected from July 19 to Aug. 2 at Milwaukee Boston Stores; Jayrone Elliott to sign autographs in exchange for donations July 22

As part of the Green Bay Packers Community Partners program, the Packers and Boston Store will host a school supplies drive at all five Milwaukee area Boston Stores from July 19 to Aug. 2.

The drive will benefit the United Way Backpack Coalition, which fills backpacks with school supplies and distributes them to K-12 students in need.

Packers linebacker Jayrone Elliott will greet fans and sign autographs in exchange for school supply donations as a part of the drive on July 22 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Brookfield Square Boston Store.

Fans, shoppers and community members are encouraged to bring notebooks, lined paper, pencils, markers, crayons, glue, pocket folders, binders and other supplies to help fill the backpacks to any of the five Milwaukee area Boston Stores listed below until Aug. 2.

• The Shops of Grand Ave., 331 W Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee

• Bayshore Town Center, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., Glendale

• Brookfield Square, 15875 W. Bluemound Rd., Brookfield

• Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., Greendale

• Mayfair Mall, 2400 N. Mayfair Rd., Wauwatosa

On Aug. 5, members of the community are invited to the Brookfield Square Boston Store to help assemble the backpacks with the donated supplies from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Staff members and volunteers for United Way, Boston Store and the Packers will then deliver the assembled backpacks to schools in the Milwaukee area during the second week of August.
