The Green Bay Packers claimed CB Trevon Diggs off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys, signed S Mark Perry to the practice squad and placed TE McCallan Castles on practice squad; injured. The transactions were announced Thursday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.

(TRAY-von) Diggs (6-1, 202), a sixth-year player from the University of Alabama, was originally selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round (No. 51 overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He has made the Pro Bowl two times (2021-22) and was named first-team All-Pro by The Associated Press, Pro Football Writers of America and the Sporting News in 2022 after leading the league with 11 interceptions (tied team record), including two returned for touchdowns. Diggs has played in 66 regular-season games with 63 starts for the Cowboys, recording 240 tackles (199 solo), 20 interceptions (two returned for TDs), 63 passes defensed, two tackles for a loss, a sack, three Next Gen Stat QB pressures, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Diggs also started all three postseason contests he played in and registered seven tackles (three assists). His 20 interceptions are tied for No. 3 in the NFL since 2020 and his 63 passes defensed are tied for No. 8 in the league over that span. Diggs is the only player in the NFL with 20-plus interceptions and 60-plus passes defensed since 2020. He will wear No. 28 for the Packers.

Perry (6-0, 211), a first-year player out of TCU, originally signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. He was released by the Dolphins following training camp and after a short time on the practice squad of the Houston Texans, spent the majority of last season on the practice squad of the New England Patriots. He was claimed off waivers by the Tennessee Titans this past offseason, was released during training camp and spent a portion of camp with the Chicago Bears. Perry played five years in college at the University of Colorado (2019-21) and TCU (2022-23), earning honorable mention All-Big 12 accolades in 2023 and second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2022. He will wear No. 41 for the Packers.
