The Green Bay Packers are inviting Wisconsin flag football leagues to become official NFL FLAG leagues, with new leagues in the program eligible to apply for equipment grants to cover the cost of jerseys, belts and footballs.

Existing leagues or those looking to start a league in Wisconsin are encouraged to become part of the NFL FLAG program and apply for one of the 10 available grants, which have a retail value of up to $2,000. The leagues selected for the grant also will receive free Packers preseason tickets courtesy of Play Football Month.

By applying for the grants, youth flag football leagues also agree to become official NFL FLAG leagues. NFL FLAG is the nation's top recognized flag football program, with leagues open to boys and girls ages 5 to 17. Coaches and league organizers are held to the highest standards for coaching credibility and safety through the USA Football certification program. USA Football is the national governing body of football on youth and high school levels.

NFL FLAG is the only flag football program where participants play in official NFL team gear and can be eligible to participate in Regional Tournaments and Championships at the Pro Bowl. Leagues also can receive league marketing and coaching tools directly from USA Football.

Grant applications can be found at https://packers.formstack.com/forms/nflflagequipmentgrant and submitted online by April 30, or submitted by mail and postmarked by April 29 to: Green Bay Packers, Attn: Ryan Fencl, 1265 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay, WI 54304.
