Packers, Levy Restaurant present awards to outstanding concession stand groups

Levy Restaurants and the Green Bay Packers honored several non-profit organizations for their time and dedication during the 2010 season with the annual Non-Profit Group Appreciation Banquet at the Lambeau Field Legends Club Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011. More than 400 people attended the ceremony.

The non-profit groups, which include service organizations and school groups, commit to working at each and every game of the season, some of them even bringing more than 30 people on a regular basis to help serve up the innovative food and beverage from Levy's concession stands and club level outlets.

In exchange for their service, groups receive a donation from Levy Restaurants based on their game day concession sales. During the 2010 season, 70 non-profit groups earned more than $780,000 collectively for their causes.

Sue Boettcher, Levy Restaurants' director of operations, said, "It's a fun and rewarding night for all of us at Levy Restaurants to be able to thank all the groups for their hard work during the season, as well as recognize a few specific groups for their excellent performances. These groups help us deliver The Levy Difference to fans at every game and we are so proud to have them as part of the Levy Family and the community."

"The Packers salute these groups for their great efforts during the season," added Mark Murphy, Green Bay Packers President/CEO. "They provide great service to Packers fans on game day, and it's a credit to Levy for the wonderful job they do training the groups. We're also proud of the groups' hard work away from the stadium, where the donations from concession operations help further their activities in the communities."

The award recipients follow:

  • Highest Training Attendance:($250 donation) NWTC Criminal Justice Association.
  • Closest GOS (Goods Out of Stock) to Cash: ($100) Divine Savior School.
  • Responsible Alcohol Service:($400) Pilgrim Lutheran Church & School.

  • Stand Lead of the Year: ($500) Charles Lesperance, A-T Children's Project.
