Packers Mentor-Protégé program to host training camp session March 22

Presentation to focus on the art of sales


The Green Bay Packers Mentor-Protégé Program is set to host its next training camp session March 22, at 8:30 a.m. The session will feature a presentation focusing on sales strategies to help small businesses from Jim Nelson, owner of Exsell Inc.

Nelson's presentation, "Stop Selling…and Start Winning More Business," will include tactics to help attendees gain control of the sale, differentiate their products or service offerings from the competition and close more sales profitably. In his position with Exsell Inc., Nelson has worked with various business to help adapt their sales cultures and grow stronger in strategic sales planning.

The event will take place in the south end of Lambeau Field. Attendees can enter at the Shopko Gate. Following the presentation, the event will allow for question-and-answer opportunities, as well as time for networking and informal discussion.

The Packers Mentor-Protégé Program was established to pair emerging companies in northeastern Wisconsin with established, knowledgeable, and committed companies that can provide exposure, training, resources and experience. The program places an emphasis on minority- or woman-owned small businesses, as well as veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned and disabled persons-owned companies, but other companies are also considered. The program aims to foster relationships between area companies and business professionals in order to spark economic development and job creation. The Packers work with AFF Research, LLC, to administer the program.
