The Green Bay Packers have named Luke Getsy quarterbacks coach. Head Coach Matt LaFleur made the announcement Tuesday.

Getsy returns to the Packers after spending last season as the offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach for Mississippi State. The Bulldogs finished the 2018 regular season ranked second in the Southeastern Conference and 20th in the FBS in rushing yards per game (226.4). Over his last two seasons in Green Bay (2016-17), Getsy worked as the wide receivers coach after originally joining the Packers in 2014 as the offensive quality control coach. Prior to his first stint with Green Bay, Getsy coached on the collegiate level for seven seasons (2007-13). After his playing career at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Akron, Getsy was a graduate assistant for the Zips (2007-08). In 2009, he was the offensive coordinator at West Virginia Wesleyan. Getsy returned to Pitt to serve as an offensive graduate assistant in 2010. From 2011-12, he was the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and in 2013, Getsy was the wide receivers coach at Western Michigan.
