The Green Bay Packers signed CB Brandon Cisse (SEE-say) and claimed WR Brenden Rice off waivers from the Las Vegas Raiders. The transactions were announced Thursday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Rice (6-2, 208), a second-year player out of the University of Southern California, was originally selected by the Los Angeles Chargers in the seventh round (No. 225 overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he appeared in three games for the Chargers before spending the rest of the season on injured reserve. In 2025, Rice spent time on the practice squads of the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks and Las Vegas Raiders. In college, he played for the University of Colorado (2020-21) and USC (2022-23), where he was a second-team All-Pac-12 selection in 2023. Rice will wear No. 89 for the Packers.
