Green Bay releases CB Gregory Junior

The Green Bay Packers have signed CB Corey Ballentine and released CB Gregory Junior. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Monday.

(BAL-en-tine) Ballentine was on the Packers' practice squad and active roster from 2022-24. Over three seasons with Green Bay, he appeared in 37 regular-season games with seven starts and three postseason contests. In 2023, Ballentine set career highs in tackles (39), solo tackles (27), passes defensed (seven) and registered his first career interception. He was originally selected by the New York Giants in the sixth round (No. 180 overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Washburn University in Kansas. Ballentine has played for the Giants (2019-20), New York Jets (2020) and Detroit Lions (2021) and also spent time with the Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts. He will wear No. 35 for the Packers.
