The Green Bay Packers signed G Kevin Zeitler (ZITE-ler), placed WR Jayden Reed on injured reserve and signed DT David Blay Jr. and WR Coleman Owen to the practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Wednesday.
Zeitler (6-4, 314), a 15th-year player out of the University of Wisconsin, was originally selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round (No. 27 overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft. He has played for the Bengals (2012-16), Cleveland Browns (2017-18), New York Giants (2019-20), Baltimore Ravens (2021-23), Detroit Lions (2024) and Tennessee Titans (2025), appearing in 214 regular-season games with 213 starts and starting all seven postseason contests he appeared in. Since entering the NFL in 2012, Zeitler has registered the most games played and the most starts by offensive lineman in the league. The Waukesha, Wis., native was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2023. Zeitler will wear No. 70 for the Packers.
Blay (6-2, 292), a rookie out of the University of Miami (Fla.), was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the New England Patriots, but was released in training camp and went on to spend the rest of camp with the Philadelphia Eagles. In college, he played 46 games for West Chester (2021-22), Louisiana Tech (2023-24) and Miami (2025), earning first-team All-Conference USA honors in 2024. Blay will wear No. 61 for the Packers.
Owen (5-10, 181), a first-year player out of Ohio University, was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Indianapolis Colts on May 9, 2025, and spent his rookie season on the Indianapolis practice squad. He appeared in two games and registered five kick returns for 141 yards (28.2 avg.) and one punt return for 2 yards. In college, Owen played in 53 career games at Ohio (2024) and Northern Arizona (2019-23), earning first-team All-MAC honors (2024), second-team All-Big Sky recognition (2022-23) and All-Big Sky honorable mention (2021). He will wear No. 13 for the Packers.
