The Green Bay Packers signed RB Brandon Burks to the practice squad. The transaction was announced Wednesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Burks, a 5-foot-9, 208-pound rookie out of Troy, originally signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent on May 9, but was released on Sept. 5. In college, he became just the third player in school history to lead the Trojans in rushing in three different seasons. He recorded 1,005 rushing yards as a senior, becoming just the eighth 1,000-yard rusher in Troy history. Burks was named All-Sun Belt honorable mention as both a junior and senior. He will wear No. 30 for Green Bay.
