Packers sign six draft picks

Also sign two tryout players from rookie orientation

The Green Bay Packers signed six draft choices as well as rookie free agents LB Greer Martini and TE Ryan Smith. The transactions were announced Monday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.

Both rookie free agent signees participated in Green Bay's rookie orientation camp this past weekend.

Martini, 22, played in 50 games with 17 starts in four seasons for the Irish, recording 191 tackles (104 solo), 14½ tackles for a loss, five sacks, three passes defensed, two forced fumbles, four QB hits and an interception. As a senior, he set career highs in starts (seven), tackles (75), solo tackles (39) and forced fumbles (two).

Smith, 22, started 32 of the 48 games he played in over four years. In 2017, he was named the team's Offensive Power Player of the Year after he recorded a career-best 35 receptions for 454 yards (13.0 avg.) and four touchdowns. As a junior, Smith set career highs in games started (13) and tied his career high from 2015 with five TD receptions.
