The Green Bay Packers have signed TE DeMarco Cosby. The signing was announced Monday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Cosby, a 6-foot-3, 245-pound first-year player out of the University of Central Missouri, entered the league as a non-drafted free agent with the St. Louis Rams in August 2011 and spent one game on the team's practice squad late last season.

Cosby started all 14 games as a senior for the Mules and caught 71 passes for 970 yards (13.7 avg.) and 10 TDs, all single-season school records by a tight end. He finished his career as Central Missouri's all-time leader among tight ends in receptions (141), receiving yards (2,146) and receiving TDs (20).

Cosby will wear No. 46 for the Packers.
