Packers sign WR Binford

Arena player joins training camp late

The Green Bay Packers signed WR Harvey Binford. The transaction was announced Thursday by Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations.

Binford (6-feet, 185 pounds), a first-year player, played for the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League in 2015-16. He played collegiately at Lindenwood University in Belleville, Ill. Binford scored the first touchdown in program history in 2012, helping the team to a 43-37 victory in the inaugural game. He will wear No. 13 for the Packers.
