The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Devin Funchess. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Thursday.

(FUN-chess) Funchess (6-4, 225) was orginally selected by the Carolina Panthers out of the University of Michigan in the second round (No. 41 overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. After four seasons with the Panthers (2015-18), he signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 2019, but his season was limited to just one game due to injury. For his career, Funchess has played in 62 regular-season games with 41 starts and hauled in 164 passes for 2,265 yards (13.8 avg.) and 21 touchdowns. He became the first player in Panthers' history to register four-plus TD receptions in each of his first four seasons in the league. Funchess led the Panthers with 21 TD receptions from 2015-18 and ranked No. 2 on the team over that span with 2,233 receiving yards. In 2017, he set career highs in receptions (63), receiving yards (840) and receiving TDs (eight). Funchess started all four postseason contests he appeared in and posted nine receptions for 152 yards (16.9 avg.) and a TD. He will wear No. 11 for the Packers.
