This October, the Green Bay Packers, Bellin Health and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation are inviting fans to take part in the Packers vs. Cancer campaign, which is now underway, to help raise awareness of all cancers and raise funds for research and cancer care.

The Packers and Bellin Health will recognize cancer survivors on the field during the pregame Ambassador Line, the national anthem and halftime activities at the Oct. 22 Packers-Saints game.

Game attendees can also show their support with the game giveaway banner, which will have a place for fans to write the name of someone they know who has been affected by cancer. Markers for writing names on the banners will be available at tables throughout the upper and lower concourses and in the Lambeau Field Atrium.

Starting today, Oct. 10, a limited edition Vince Lombardi cancer awareness hat is available for purchase at the Packers Pro Shop, with $5 from each hat sale going directly to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation.

The Packers are also inviting fans to join in the effort through a text-to-donate campaign. The Packers will match up to $10,000 of the money raised. To participate, fans can donate $10 to the campaign by texting "Packers" to 50555 from Oct. 16 through Oct. 22. All of the proceeds will go to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation.

Named for the legendary Packers coach, the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation is dedicated to winning the battle against cancer by funding advancements in cancer research and compassionate care. A check from the Packers Vs. Cancer fundraising efforts will be presented to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation on the field during the Oct. 22 Packers-Saints game.

Additionally, the spokesperson for the campaign, Packers kicker Mason Crosby, took part in a public service announcement, which is now airing throughout Wisconsin reminding fans how they can be a part of Packers Vs. Cancer. Several Packers players will also join the effort, visiting cancer patients in the hospital as a part of the initiative throughout the season.
