The Packers selected QB Aaron Rodgers with the 24th pick in the 2005 NFL draft.

Hey all you football fans and draft gurus, the NFL Draft will soon be upon us and here at Packers.com we have an exciting way you can get involved in the action.

The official Web site of the Green Bay Packers is pleased to announce the third annual Packers.com Draft Day Challenge in which fans can win cool prizes by correctly predicting the team's first pick of the 2006 NFL Draft.

Here's how it works:

From Thursday, April 13, through the eve of the draft, Friday, April 28, fans can log on to Packers.com and try and predict the identity of the player the Packers will choose first in the 2006 NFL Draft, held in New York City, April 29-30.

Participants must be at least 13-years-old and must fill out the entire entry form to be eligible. Only one entry per person will be accepted, and all entries must be submitted by noon CT, April 28.

Currently, the Packers are slated to pick 5th overall in this year's draft. It is possible, however, that the Packers could trade up or back in the draft on or before draft day. Take this into consideration when making final picks because once submitted -- all predictions are final (see below for further clarification).

All those who correctly predict the Packers' first pick will have their names displayed at Packers.com following the draft. Three lucky winners, drawn at random from that pool, will win one of the following prize packages:

Prize Package 1

Al Harris autographed jersey

Vonta Leach autographed mini-football

Legend of Lambeau DVD

Green, Gold and Proud book

(4) Packers Pint Glasses

Packers Mouse Pad

Lambeau Field Visor

Prize Package 2

Chad Clifton autographed football

Green, Gold and Proud book

Legend of Lambeau DVD

(4) Packers Pint Glasses

Packers Mouse Pad

Lambeau Field Visor

Prize Package 3

Nick Collins autographed mini-football

Green, Gold and Proud book

Legend of Lambeau DVD

(4) Packers Pint Glasses

Packers Mouse Pad

Lambeau Field Visor

In the event that no one correctly predicts the Packers' first pick of the NFL draft, or if less than three individuals guess correctly, remaining prize packages will be distributed by random drawing.

Remember, once submitted all predictions are final and may not be changed or otherwise re-submitted. If you think the Packers might make any transactions prior to the draft or on draft day that will affect your prediction (i.e. acquiring a player in free agency or trading from their current position with the 5th overall selection), take that into consideration before submitting your prediction or wait until closer to the deadline to submit your pick.

Participants are only required to identify the Packers' first pick of the draft. They do not need to predict whether the Packers have to trade up or down from their current position with the 5th overall selection to acquire that player. In the event the Packers trade out of the first round and don't select until the second round, or later, Packers.com will still recognize all correct predictions.

To see who the Packers acquire in this year's draft, be sure to check back to Packers.com, your official source for team news, where we'll provide biographical information on all the Packers' picks instantly after the selections are announced, in addition to live audio or video of drafted players and Packers personnel.
