By popular demand, the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame will extend the traveling exhibit, "Pro Football and the American Spirit," to Feb. 20.

Part of the well-received exhibit is a special tribute to former Arizona Cardinals safety and U.S. Army Ranger Pat Tillman, a display that now features a recently donated football, which Tillman intercepted from then-Packers quarterback Brett Favre during the

final game of the 1999 regular NFL season. The football was donated to the Pro Football Hall of Fame by Mike Janse of Appleton, Wis., who caught it after Tillman punted the ball into the stands at Lambeau Field in celebration following the play.

After putting his NFL career on hold in the Spring of 2002 to serve his country, Tillman tragically lost his life in Afghanistan while taking part in Operation Enduring Freedom in April 2004.

The exhibit, which was brought to the Packers Hall of Fame by Oshkosh Defense, is a traveling exhibit from the Pro Football Hall of Fame and features films, artifacts and interactive displays that the stories of the more than 1,200 NFL players and personnel who put their pro football careers on hold to answer the call of duty and serve their country.

Some of the exhibit topics include the NFL's generation of War Bonds during World War II, the NFL/USO Vietnam "goodwill tours," and players and personnel who served – from World War II to Desert Storm to Afghanistan. It also looks at how the NFL uses its resources to increase America's collective level of patriotism during times of crisis for the country.
