Forrest Gregg, the Pro Football Hall of Famer and offensive tackle described by Vince Lombardi as "the finest player I ever coached," will sign copies of his book,Winning In The Trenches, at the Packers Pro Shop Saturday, Nov. 6, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. He will be signing only the book.

Gregg played in 187 games with the Packers during the 1956 and 1958-70 seasons and was an eight-time All-Pro and nine-time Pro Bowl honoree. He was inducted into both the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Packers Hall of Fame in 1977. He also was head coach of the Packers from 1984-87.

Winning in the Trenches, according to the publisher, "provides a fascinating glimpse of a bygone era in professional football from one of the players who epitomized it. With candor, insight, and love for the game, Forrest Gregg takes the reader through a career that began in the mid-1950s when he was drafted by the then-moribund Green Bay Packers. The NFL was a far different, and far less glamorous, place in those years. But, as Gregg tells it, things changed for the better when the team hired a new head coach, the now immortal Vince Lombardi."

Published by Clerisy Press, the 320-page hardcover book is available for purchase at the Packers Pro Shop for $24.95. It also is available online at www.packersproshop.com. The paperback version of the book also is available, in the Pro Shop only, for $16.95.
