Packers Vice President of Player Finance Andrew Brandt confirmed Tuesday that the Washington Redskins have submitted an offer sheet for restricted free agent safety Matt Bowen.

The Packers have seven days to match the offer, or lose Bowen to the Redskins and accept draft-choice compensation in return.

The Packers would receive the Redskins' sixth-round pick in the 2003 draft.

The Packers have no other comments on the matter at this time.
