With approximately 80 players expected to take part, GM/Head Coach Mike Sherman will launch the Green Bay Packers' final offseason mini-camp on Clarke Hinkle Field the week of June 3.

The camp will open Monday, June 3 and continue through June 7, before breaking for the weekend (June 8-9). It then will resume Monday, June 10, for three more days, with the last practice set for Wednesday, June 12.

All practices will begin at 11 a.m. except on Friday, June 7, which has been reserved for a team function, and on the final day, June 12, when a 10 a.m. workout will complete the camp agenda.

The players' schedule also includes team and position meetings - the latter both morning and afternoon on most days - plus weight training and conditioning.

All practices are scheduled to be held on Clarke Hinkle Field, weather and field conditions permitting. If it becomes necessary to move into the Don Hutson Center, practice will be closed to the public because of space limitations.

Quarterback Brett Favre and a number of his teammates will spend a portion of their weekend "break" from the mini-camp regimen taking part in the Third Annual Brett Favre Celebrity Softball Game on Sunday afternoon, June 9, at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, with the first pitch scheduled for 1 o'clock.

In last year's game, before an overflow crowd of more than 6,000 fans, the Packers' Offense shaded the Defense, 32-31, with the aid of three home runs by Mark Tauscher.

Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers ticket office at 800/WITIMBER or 920/733-4152. A limited number of hospitality packages and suites also are available by calling Erin Smith at 205/967-4745 x118.
