Cool and calm for four quarters! No panic is exactly right! Victory Monday for fans as well! Look to go 1-0 against the Panthers this week and looking no further!
The folks kinda did you dirty there, didn't they?
Eric from Kenosha, WI
Good morning! If a guy is all the way back two years after an ACL tear, then next year Christian Watson will be so fast we won't even see him blaze by on our TV screens. His recovery has been nothing short of amazing.
Christian Watson is still that dude in case you forgot, and the best part is he's only now entering the prime of his career at 26 years old. His 33-yard catch was one of, if not, the biggest driving forces in that comeback win.
Alex from Lake Forest, IL
I couldn't help but marvel at the offensive lineup that included Romeo Doubs, Watson, Matthew Golden, Tucker Kraft, and Josh Jacobs and the potential it brings. It's just so multiple! Speed, height, YAC, blockers, matchup nightmares – not sure how a defense defends both the run and pass with all the possible plays out of that formation. I forgot until watching the game how excellent Watson is as a blocker downfield, too. What a second half.
That's the other thing about Watson. He's a track star with the mentality of an offensive lineman.
John from Phoenix, AZ
I will admit I was one of those who was excited by the Micah Parsons trade but also thought the Packers gave up too much. Specifically, I thought Kenny Clark's departure would hurt the locker room as well as the defense's performance. I truly underestimated what Parsons would bring to the team as a leader and teammate. The on-field performance is not unexpected but what he's done since day one to represent the organization and team alike has me thoroughly impressed with the man.
You feel Parsons' presence everywhere whether it's in the locker room or on the field. He was very critical of his own play after Sunday's game, but Parsons was nipping on Rodgers' heels all night. If you want a good barometer for the Parsons effect, check out what Rashan Gary has accomplished this year with more one-on-one opportunities. He had 7½ sacks and 15 QB hits last year over 639 snaps in 17 games. This year, he has 7½ sacks, 13 QB hits over 307 snaps in seven games.
Jimmy from Rockford, IL
I think my favorite "play" from Sunday night's game was Quay Walker not retaliating against Metcalf. That dude showed so much growth in that moment. It made me feel proud for him. I guess no question, just wanted to give "7" his props.
Walker has come a long way. The guy has a good heart but admittedly had some maturing to do early on. Walker is a team captain now and leading by example. That sequence could've easily led to offsetting penalties if Walker retaliated, but he stayed calm and let the officials impose the discipline at a critical time. Walker's restraint was as big as any play in the game.
Paul from Franklin, WI
Hello Mike and Wes – great win Sunday night. With Halloween looming around, here's a scary thought: Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, and MarShawn Lloyd return, we could be the new monsters of the midway? So, I'm really anxious to see how this plays out. Stay tuned.
I appreciate the enthusiasm, but I think you're looking at it wrong. Would it be cool to see what kinda combinations the Packers can draw up when those three players return? As a former boss of mine used to say, "No douuuuubbbbbbtttt." But a lot of times what happens is precisely what happened Sunday – Christian Watson returning at an exact time the Packers could use him with Reed and Wicks both out. Another way to look at it – expect relief, appreciate depth.
Jason from Ammon, ID
Greetings and good morning, friends! A moment among many others from the game that stood out to me was when DK tried to one-up Gane with the eye-poke to Quay and then went back for a facemask tug. In my requisite minimum two article click and read (game notes and game recap this week) protocol before indulging in II, I was pleased to find Wes's thoughts on the same event. There're years of growth and maturity in those two words "didn't retaliate." Kudos to Mr. Walker.
Fortunately, Metcalf's fingers didn't reach the back of Walker's skull like Cyril Gane's did on Tom Aspinall during their UFC heavyweight title fight on Saturday.
Derek from Maple Grove, MN
Lots of comments on the offensive "slow starts." Frankly, I think that's revisionist history, especially this week. The field goal tries were high-percentage tries that should have resulted in points. The first miss put the Steelers in position where they only needed 21 yards for a field goal. Maybe let's not label the offense dormant when they produced opportunity for 13 points in the first half. We should have been right on pace for our required 27 points. 10 and company are doing their jobs.
Fans will always find something to nitpick, but simply barking "Well, they're starting slow" is lazy. I dug into the numbers and didn't find a pattern. Green Bay's opening possessions have been a mix of touchdowns, punts, turnovers on downs and an interception. I'd file that under the "The other team gets paid, too" department. If there was any gripe on Sunday night it was too many early three-and-outs.
Mike from Port Charlotte, FL
No question, just an observation. I absolutely Love how Jordan can stand in the pocket with pressure in his face and sling it! He is calm and collected in those situations, nothing seems to faze him. No panic at all. This man is in control. Hopefully he starts getting the respect he deserves. Go Pack Go!
Nothing about Jordan Love's performance surprised me. That's exactly what I expected of him on that stage. He was locked in, seeing the field well and firing the football. Love showed a lot of growth from the first time he went to Acrisure two years ago.
Daniel from Lakeland, FL
I recall the wailing and gnashing of teeth following the drafting of Jordan Love. The passage of time reveals the Packers management understood the situation far better than we fans. We owe it a great compliment for its prescience.
You know what doesn't get talked about nearly enough? Like Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay landed on Love while picking in the 20s. In a day and age where teams continually trade up to overdraft QBs in the top 10-15, the Packers patiently waited and got their man…again.
Krystl from Annville, PA
What's the biggest difference you're seeing in Jordan Love's development compared to last season?
Time and experience.
Clay from Avondale, AZ
First off, thank you for taking the time to chat at the pep rally in Phoenix. To all Inboxers, I highly recommend taking advantage of the opportunity when one comes to your town. Last week we (fans, not you) were questioning if Jordan Love has what it takes to lead a team poised for a deep playoff run. Yesterday we put him in the Hall of Fame. Can we just R-E-L-A-X?
You have a talented young quarterback, Packers fans. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
Bill from Menominee, MI
To start the season, the offense started fast and cooled off while the defense was struggling to maintain pace through the second half. It's becoming apparent now that the offense and defense are both getting stronger in the second half. Are the substitutions altered or is it just a matter of getting through the early part of the season?
I think it's sometimes as simple as an offense hitting one explosive play to kick everything into full gear. In this case, it was that 59-yard pass to Tucker Kraft when nothing seemed to be clicking for Green Bay's offense.
Tom from West Palm Beach, FL
When is Kraft up for an extension? There's absolutely no possible way we let him leave the building, right?
His four-year rookie contract runs through the 2026 season, meaning he isn't eligible for an extension until after this current season.
Andrew from Richmond, VA
The tush push is a NATIONAL DISASTER! Mark Murphy was right to try to get it banned! Give the man his flowers!
Build the statue.
Keith from Bakersfield, CA
Watching No. 87 cleanly field the onside kick to squelch any hope of a huge comeback stirred up a lot of feelings.
And Evan Williams trusted Doubs to make the play and let the ball bounce over his head while setting his block. It's been a very clean operation so far this year.
Jeff from Dorr, MI
On one of the unnecessary roughness penalties the referee announced instigator when assessing the penalty. Have you ever heard that before?
That was a new one for me, but I declare Nick Herbig shall forever be known as "Herbig the Instigator."
Rich from De Pere, WI
I would like to suggest a rule change when it comes to intentional grounding. When in the pocket, there must be an "intent to compete the pass." No more spiking the ball on the ground, especially when falling down and the "receiver in the area" is pass-blocking. What do you think?
Savvy move on Rodgers' part, but the NFL needs to nip that one in the butt quickly or it'll become a real problem as soon as next week in this copycat league.
Curt from Locust Grove, GA
To piggyback on Aaron from Tucson, when do you think Aaron Rodgers became a surefire Hall of Famer? I would guess after his second MVP.
That's a worthy mark, though Rodgers' status as one of the game's truly elite QBs was cemented during that first MVP campaign in 2011. That's one of the finest seasons we've ever seen by a quarterback when factoring in how potent the offense was.
Green Bay Packers TE Tucker Kraft recorded a career-high 143 receiving yards along with two touchdowns against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 26, 2025.

Jon from Willmar, MN
Did Zach Tom come back into the game?
Pretty much right away. He only missed one snap. Anthony Belton played the final two snaps at left tackle for Rasheed Walker after he exited late.
Johnny from Canada
The Steelers got flagged for not being set after a motion, but Savion Williams scored his touchdown after running along the line of scrimmage when the ball was snapped – what's the difference?
You can motion guys pre-snap, but there must be seven guys set on the line of scrimmage when the play starts.
Edward from Sioux Falls, SD
Boy, the field at Acrisure Stadium really looked rough last night on SNF. I'm glad it didn't mess with either kicker's plant foot.
Thankfully, the Packers didn't seem to have many issues with it aside from those first few plays. Shout out to Chris Kuehn and his staff for having guys in the right cleats.
Chuck from Neenah, WI
There was a lot of pre-game chatter that if Aaron Rogers beats the Packers, he will have beaten all 32 teams. Well, now that he has lost to the Packers, has he lost to all 32 teams? If not, which team(s) have not beaten him? Same questions for Brett Favre.
Rodgers has never lost to Cleveland (4-0) or the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders (3-0). Brett Favre never lost to the Houston Texans but also only played them once.
Samuel from Skokie, IL
Did you hear if moving Carrington Valentine in place of Nate Hobbs was injury or performance related? Hobbs had a rough game vs. Arizona. If it was performance related, I'm impressed because many teams just play the guy that got the big paycheck.
Matt LaFleur said Monday the team still has "a ton of confidence" in Hobbs, but cornerback is "going to be a competitive situation" moving forward with Valentine, Hobbs and Keisean Nixon all vying for those coveted snaps. To Valentine's credit, I thought he maximized his minutes against the Steelers.
Kima from Honolulu, HI
Hey II, given that No. 10 has only so many passes to distribute in a game and a legit plethora of outstanding options to target, is it possible that there could be a morale issue in the receivers room; primarily the guys who might feel they don't get thrown to enough? Or is it a case of "Leave your ego at the door"? Just curious given how many exceptional weapons Love has at his disposal
You obviously missed Romeo Doubs twerking.
Stan from Jupiter, FL
The Panthers look to me to be a less-than-average 4-4 team. Of their last five tilts, their three wins have all been by single scores, and their two losses have been blowouts.
Two years ago, the Packers played a downtrodden Panthers team when Bryce Young could do little right and escaped with a win by the skin of their cheddar. Green Bay should have confidence riding this four-game non-losing streak but must respect the Panthers' threat, especially with those two running backs.
Jacob from Iron Mountain, MI
The announcers and help did a pretty good job explaining the Steelers' overruled incompletion to TD, but I was wondering what plays are subject to the "instant replay review" that I'm now aware exists. Is it scoring plays and turnovers, or just everything? Honestly, doesn't seem like the worst addition to me.
I get it…sorta. It's a scoring play, so I'll let it slide. But I'm still not a fan of the precedent the league is setting by automatically reviewing a play outside of two minutes when the team that stands to benefit doesn't have a timeout to challenge a play. At best, it's a bailout. At worst, it could lead to some major issues in less cut-and-dry situations.
James from Brillion, WI
There is a lot of talk about current/future Hall of Fame Packers QBs: Bart Starr, Favre and Rodgers, but not a word about Arnie Herber QB from the 1930s. HOFer himself, and QB for the four-time world champ Packers. His first championship was won just four months before his 27th birthday. Can we talk about him too?
Agreed. When talking about the Packers' great quarterbacks, Herber should absolutely be in that conversation…Cecil Isbell, too.
Tim from Olathe, KS
Wes, my apologies for buying into the Bears hype. I promise to never again be hornswoggled by desperate Bears fans. I'll focus on the Panthers this week!
No apologies required. The Bears are no pushover, and the Packers will have their hands full in December.
Rick from Des Moines, IA
Phenomenal win. The added smile was hearing all the Go Pack Go chants middle of the fourth quarter. On TV, that was priceless! I can imagine in person how that felt!
It was a special night and one I won't soon forget. But that's in the past now. The Packers stand atop the NFC but only by a few inches. We're on to Carolina.
