GREEN BAY – The Packers added a defensive lineman with their ninth and final pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on Saturday.
Miami's Jonathan Garvin, an early entry in this draft, was Green Bay's choice at No. 242 overall.
The 6-4, 263-pound edge rusher was a two-year starter for the Hurricanes who recorded 10½ sacks among 26 tackles for loss over the 2018-19 seasons. He got his first taste of college action as a true freshman in 2017 and notched two sacks.
He also had three forced fumbles and four recoveries (one for a TD) in his career to go with five passes broken up.
At the scouting combine, Garvin was clocked in 4.82 seconds in the 40-yard dash. He put up 23 bench-press reps, had a 36-inch vertical jump and a 125-inch broad jump.
