GREEN BAY – Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been named the FedEx Air and Ground Player of the Week for his performance in Green Bay's 31-7 win over Chicago in Week 5.
Love established a new career-high passer rating of 137.5 in the regular season against the Bears on Sunday, completing 25-of-31 for 367 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Love joined his predecessor, Aaron Rodgers, as the only QBs in Packers history to throw for 350-plus yards with multiple TDs, no INTs and a completion percentage of 80-plus in a game. Rodgers did it twice, in 2013 and '19.
Love is the only quarterback in the NFL this season with two games of 350-plus passing yards and multiple passing TDs and is the first Packers quarterback with multiple such games within the team's first five games of a season since Rodgers in 2011.
Love has three 300-yard passing games this season, a career high, and became the fourth QB in team history to register three 300-yard games in the first five contests (Rodgers, three times; Favre, two times; Don Majkowski, one time).
Every Player of the Week honor will result in donations of $2,000 from FedEx in the names of the two winning players ($4,000 total) to Feeding America for a local food bank in the winning player's city.
