GREEN BAY – Packers safety Evan Williams has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month for October.

The third-year pro, a fourth-round draft pick in 2024, recorded 41 tackles, one sack, three QB hits, two interceptions, four passes defensed and one fumble recovery in the Packers' five October games. Green Bay went 4-1 during the month.

Williams' month of October started with a standout performance at Tampa Bay, during which he followed up an early interception and tackle for loss with a series of blitzes on the Buccaneers' final possession that led to a fourth-down stop.

He then posted a career-high 11 tackles against the Bears the following week and got his second INT in the ensuing game against the Cowboys.

For the season, Williams leads the team in both total tackles (66) and solo tackles (43), the latter ranking No. 2 in the league. He's the only player in the NFL this season with 60-plus tackles and multiple INTs.

This marks the third straight year a Packers player won NFC Defensive Player of the Month for October, following Micah Parsons in 2025 and Xavier McKinney in 2024.
