Packers employees to ring Salvation Army bells as part of 'Packers Give Back Day' Dec. 18

Green Bay Packers employees will take part in a day of volunteering for the eighth straight year during the organization’s bi-annual ‘Packers Give Back Day’ on Tuesday, Dec. 18.

This year, the organization will ring bells at various Salvation Army bell ringing locations throughout Green Bay and Ashwaubenon including at Festival Foods, Fleet Farm and Shopko locations. The Packers organization will be matching the funds raised at all Green Bay kettles throughout the day up to $15,000. Packers Give Back Day is designed to allow staff to get out of the office and give back to the Green Bay community.

Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy will be volunteering from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the red kettle at Shopko Customer Service at the Bay Park Square Mall.

Fans and shoppers are encouraged to stop by and participate in the Red Kettle Campaign, an important holiday tradition in the Green Bay community, as many of the organization’s programs operate only because of money received through Red Kettle donations.

All proceeds, including the matching funds donated by the Packers, will go toward aiding needy families, seniors and the homeless in Green Bay.
