The Green Bay Packers signed LB Peter Kalambayi to the practice squad. The transaction was announced Monday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
(CAL-am-BYE-ee) Kalambayi (6-3, 252) is a fourth-year player out of Stanford that was originally selected by the Houston Texans in the sixth round (No. 214 overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. He played in 41 games for the Texans from 2018-20, recording 15 tackles (eight solo) on defense and 18 special teams tackles. Kalambayi also appeared in three postseason contests, registering two tackles on special teams. He signed with the Denver Broncos this past offseason, but was released in August. Kalambayi will wear No. 43 for the Packers.
