Biography

  • Became just the ninth defensive player in Oklahoma State history to receive all-conference honors three times (2021- 23), earning second-team All-Big 12 recognition from the coaches all three of those years and from The Associated Press in 2021 and 2023.
  • Entered his final year as a preseason All-America selection (third-team honors from Athlon and fourth-team honors from Phil Steele), but his season came to an end due to a foot injury suffered against Arkansas in the second game of the season.
  • In 2023, was the only FBS player in the country to register six- plus sacks (six), 15-plus tackles for a loss (15½), three-plus forced fumbles (four) and five-plus passes defensed (five).
  • Was named the unanimous Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year in 2021 by the league's head coaches and earned freshman All-America honors from ESPN, 247Sports, The Athletic and PFF College.
  • Was one of three national finalists for the FWAA Freshman of the Year Award after finishing tied for No. 7 in the FBS with 11½ sacks in 2021, the most by a freshman in school history.
