GREEN BAY – Mason Crosby’s two-week roller-coaster ride hit another peak on Wednesday.

The Packers’ veteran kicker was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his flawless performance on Monday night against the 49ers, which included a walk-off, game-winning field goal.

Crosby’s 27-yarder as time expired in the 33-30 Green Bay triumph was his seventh made kick without a miss on the night. He also was good on field goals from 29, 39 and 51 yards out, plus three extra points.

The performance came one week after the worst game of Crosby’s 12-year career, when he missed five kicks (four field goals, one PAT) in an eight-point loss in Detroit.

His impressive bounce-back game marked the 10th time in his career he’s made four field goals in a game, not including the three times he’s made five, one of which came earlier this year in Week 2.

The selection is Crosby’s seventh as NFC Special Teams Player of the Week in his career, extending his own team record. The first was the opening week of his rookie season in 2007, and the most recent was Week 11 in 2015. The Packers’ all-time leading scorer also has been named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month twice in his career.
