The Green Bay Packers claimed G Ethan Cooper off waivers from the New York Giants and waived T Kyle Meadows. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Friday.
Cooper, 6-2, 322, was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Indiana University (Pa.) by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2017. He spent the 2017 offseason with the Steelers before being released on September 2, 2017. Cooper signed to the Giants practice squad on October 11, 2017, where he spent the rest of the season. New York waived Cooper on July 12. He will wear No. 72 for the Packers.
Meadows signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent on May 4.
