Packers claim LB Justin Hollins off waivers from Rams

Fourth-year linebacker selected in fifth round of 2019 NFL Draft

The Green Bay Packers claimed LB Justin Hollins off waivers from the Los Angeles Rams. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Thursday.  

Hollins (6-5, 248), a fourth-year player out of the University of Oregon, was selected by the Denver Broncos in the fifth round (No. 156 overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. He played one season with the Broncos (2019) before being claimed off waivers by the Rams on Sept. 7, 2020. For his career, Hollins has played in 49 regular-season games with seven starts, including five this season, and registered 92 tackles (56 solo), seven sacks, six tackles for a loss, 11 QB hits, three passes defensed, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery while also posting five tackles on special teams. He has played in six postseason contests (2020-21), recording eight tackles (five solo) and two QB hits. Hollins will wear No. 47 for the Packers.
