Packers face Jets in preseason opener

The Packers will host the New York Jets at Lambeau Field on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the first preseason game, presented by Cenex.

• The Packers open the preseason at home for the first time since 2021.
• This will be the 10th preseason meeting between the Packers and Jets, with Green Bay holding a 6-3 (.667) advantage in the series.
• The Jets and Packers last met in the preseason in 2021, a 23-14 New York victory at Lambeau.
• It is the third consecutive year that the Packers will open the preseason against an AFC opponent (at Cleveland in 2024 and at Cincinnati in 2023).
• The Packers have gone 2-1 in the preseason each of the last two years.
• Following the first preseason game, Green Bay will hold a public practice on Tuesday, Aug. 12, before going to Indianapolis, where it will have a joint practice (Aug. 14) before facing the Colts on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 12 p.m. CT.

• Is in his 17th season in the NFL, having previously served as an offensive coordinator for two seasons (Los Angeles Rams, 2017; Tennessee Titans, 2018), a quarterbacks coach for six seasons (Washington Redskins, 2010-13; Atlanta Falcons, 2015-16), and an offensive assistant for two seasons (Houston Texans, 2008-09).
• In his first six seasons leading the Packers, has authored one of the greatest starts to a head-coaching career in NFL history. THE PACKERS-JETS SERIES
