Packers head east to take on the Jets

The Packers go back on the road in Week 2 to face the New York Jets.

• It is the fourth time in team history that Green Bay is opening the season with two road games (1924, 2016, 2023). Three of the first four games are on the road for only the third time in team history (1922, 2014).
• It is the earliest visit for Green Bay to face the Jets.
• The Packers have won three of the last four games against the Jets after winning only two of the first 10 contests in the series.
• Green Bay has won the last two games at the Jets, the first two road victories for the Packers in the series.
• Three of the last four games in the series have been decided by single digits, including a six-point overtime win by Green Bay in the last game played at New York (2018).
• The Packers are 5-3 at MetLife Stadium, including 2-0 against the Jets.
• Since 2019, Green Bay is 28-15 at 12 p.m. CT kickoff times, a .651 winning percentage that ranks No. 6 in the NFL.

• In his first three seasons in Green Bay (2019-21), became the first head coach in NFL history to post 13-plus wins in three straight years. His 39 victories over that span passed Seifert (38 in 1989-91) for the most wins by an NFL head coach in his first three seasons in the league and are also tied for the fourth most by a coach over any three-season span in league history (Mike Ditka, 40 from 1985-87; Andy Reid, 40 from 2020-22 and 2022-24).

• In 2025, oversaw an offense that notched a top-10 rushing unit for the first time since 2015, and averaged 4.6 per carry, the third-highest mark by a Jets offense in franchise history.
• During his four seasons in Detroit, helped guide the Lions to two NFL North titles and an appearance in the NFC title game.

• The teams first met in the 1973 season opener, a 23-7 Green Bay victory in Milwaukee. Since then, the Jets have won nine of 13.
