MATT LaFLEUR…In his eighth season as the Packers' 15th head coach.
- Is entering his 18th season in the NFL in 2026, having served as an offensive coordinator for two seasons (Los Angeles Rams, 2017; Tennessee Titans, 2018), a QBs coach for six seasons (Washington Redskins, 2010-13; Atlanta Falcons, 2015-16) and an offensive assistant for two seasons (Houston Texans, 2008-09).
- In his first seven seasons leading the Packers, LaFleur has authored one of the finest starts to a head-coaching career in NFL history. Per the Elias Sports Bureau, his 76 regular-season wins are tied with Paul Brown for the second most in league history by a head coach in his first seven seasons in the NFL, trailing only George Seifert (86 in 1989-95). Green Bay's 76-40-1 (.654) regular-season record since 2019 ranks No. 1 in the NFC and No. 3 in the NFL over that span.
- In his first three seasons in Green Bay (2019-21), became the first head coach in NFL history to post 13-plus wins in three straight years. His 39 victories over that span passed Seifert (38 in 1989-91) for the most wins by an NFL head coach in his first three seasons in the league and are also tied for the fourth most by a coach over any three-season span in league history (Mike Ditka, 40 from 1985-87; Andy Reid, 40 from 2020-22 and 2022-24).
- Led the Packers to six playoff berths in seven seasons (tied for No. 2 in the NFL over that span), tied with Vince Lombardi and Mike Holmgren for the most playoff appearances by a Green Bay head coach in his first seven seasons.
- In his first season leading the Packers in 2019, became the first coach in club history to guide the team to the playoffs in his debut season. Also led the largest one-year win improvement in team history (plus-seven wins).
SEAN PAYTON…In his fourth season as the Broncos' 20th head coach.
- Spent 15 seasons as head coach of the New Orleans Saints (2006-11, '13-21), and led the franchise to its first Super Bowl championship (Super Bowl XLIV) during the 2009 season.
- Owns the Saints' top win total and winning percentage, and his 184 regular-season wins are second among active head coaches, trailing only Andy Reid (279).
- Became just the fifth head coach in NFL history to lead multiple franchises to the top seed in the postseason. Among those coaches, he is just the third to do so in both conferences.
- The Broncos have allowed the fourth-fewest points per game (20.3) in the NFL under Payton, while also ranking second during that span in third-down percentage (34.8) and third in red-zone percentage (48.8).
THE PACKERS-BRONCOS SERIES
- Green Bay and Denver first met in 1971, and the Packers defeated the Broncos, 34-13, in the inaugural game of the series.
- One of the most iconic games in the series was the Super Bowl XXXII matchup that pitted Packers QB Brett Favre against Broncos QB John Elway. Denver, loser of four previous Super Bowls, beat Green Bay, 31-24, to give the franchise its first Super Bowl victory.
- Green Bay has won four of the last seven regular-season contests, allowing fewer than 20 points in four of those seven meetings.
