Packers finish preseason against Cardinals

After a joint practice against Arizona (Aug. 26), Green Bay will conclude the preseason at Lambeau Field against the Cardinals in the lone home preseason game, presented by Cenex, on Friday, Aug. 28, at 7 p.m. CT.

• The contest will feature brothers Matt and Mike LaFleur as the opposing head coaches.
• Green Bay is finishing off the preseason at home for the fourth straight year.
• It is the 24th preseason matchup between the two clubs and the first since 2013. The two were scheduled to play during the 2020 preseason, but it was canceled due to COVID-19.
• It will be the first time that the two organizations will face off in the preseason finale since 1983, a 39-27 Packers win in St. Louis.
• The game against Arizona is designated as the Packers Give Back Game, highlighting Wisconsin mental-health advocates with NAMI Wisconsin before and during the contest.

• Is entering his 18th season in the NFL in 2026, having served as an offensive coordinator for two seasons (Los Angeles Rams, 2017; Tennessee Titans, 2018), a QBs coach for six seasons (Washington Redskins, 2010-13; Atlanta Falcons, 2015-16) and an offensive assistant for two seasons (Houston Texans, 2008-09).
• In his first seven seasons leading the Packers, LaFleur has authored one of the finest starts to a head-coach- ing career in NFL history. Per the Elias Sports Bureau, his 76 regular-season wins are tied with Paul Brown for the second most in league history by a head coach in his first seven seasons in the NFL, trailing only George Seifert (86 in 1989-95).
