GREEN BAY – Jordan Love has picked up yet another accolade.
The Packers' starting quarterback has been named the FedEx Air and Ground Player of the Week following Sunday's 35-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He also was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday after completing 29 of 37 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns against the Steelers. Love finished with a career-high 134.2 passer rating in a regular-season game.
"I think he's done a hell of a job," said Head Coach Matt LaFleur of Love on Wednesday morning. "I think that's a great thing for our team, obviously, when your quarterback is playing really good football. It's good for everybody."
Love joined Rodgers and Brett Favre (twice) as the only Packers QBs with 350-plus pass yards, zero INT, and zero sacks taken in a single game. Also, Love tied Favre's 2007 team record with 20 consecutive completed passes.
Along with Love, Indianapolis running back Jonathan Taylor also was named as the FedEx Air and Ground Player of the Week for his 173 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns in the Colts' 38-14 win over Tennessee.
Every Player of the Week honor will result in donations of $2,000 from FedEx in the names of the two winning players ($4,000 total) to Feeding America for a local food bank in the winning player's city.
