GREEN BAY – Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance during Sunday's 35-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
It's the third time Love has received the award. He was previously honored during Weeks 17-18 of the 2023 season.
In the comeback win over the Steelers, Love completed 29 of 37 passes for 360 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions to establish a new career-high passer rating (134.2) in regular-season play.
He also tied Brett Favre's 18-year-old franchise record with 20 straight completions from the second quarter to the fourth quarter. Love's previous career best was 11 straight completions.
"I thought it was really impressive because he was making some high-level throws down the field," said Head Coach Matt LaFleur on Monday. "We were pushing the ball from early on in the game down the field. We didn't connect on a couple of those, but I thought all in all, he did a great job. He was in complete command of the game, made a couple of off-schedules. He played really, really well."
Love is the first quarterback in franchise history to hit the following marks in a single game: 350-plus passing yards, three-plus passing TDs, zero INTs, zero sacks, 75-plus completion percentage and 9.5-plus yards per attempt.
In Week 8, Love joined Aaron Rodgers and Favre (twice) as the only Packers quarterbacks with 350-plus passing yards, zero interceptions, and zero sacks taken in a single game.
Since succeeding Rodgers in 2023, Love is now 11-0-1 as a starter when he has a 115-plus passer rating.
"The legacy that (Rodgers) left, I would say Jordan's filling those shoes," tight end Tucker Kraft said after Sunday's win. "When you're talking about the Favre to Rodgers to Love, Jordan has stepped up and fulfilled his end of the bargain."
This season, Love ranks in the NFL's top five in the following passing categories: passer rating (112.8, fourth), completion percentage (70.9, fourth), average gain (8.44) and 20-plus-yard completions (26).
It's the second consecutive week a Packers player has been honored with an NFL weekly award after defensive lineman Micah Parsons was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his three-sack performance at Arizona in Week 7.
