During the COVID-19 pandemic, hunger and food insecurity has dramatically increased across Wisconsin. With the need greater than ever, Sargento Foods Inc., in partnership with the Green Bay Packers, will increase its donation for every touchdown scored this season in its Touchdowns for Hunger™ program. Sargento will donate a total of $2,000 for every touchdown the Packers score during the regular season to hunger relief in Wisconsin.

Each donation made by Sargento will be shared by Hunger Task Force in Milwaukee and Paul's Pantry in Green Bay. In 2019, the Packers scored 44 touchdowns during the regular season.

Additionally, Packers running back Aaron Jones will partner with Sargento for the second consecutive year to raise awareness about the increased need to help families facing hunger. In 2019, Jones set a new franchise record for touchdowns in a single season, with 19 touchdowns in the regular season and 4 touchdowns in the postseason.

"When the pandemic began, families across Wisconsin were already struggling with hunger. Now, COVID-19 has caused many more families to experience hunger – some for the very first time," said Louie Gentine, CEO of Sargento Foods. "We look forward to another year of helping alleviate hunger in our community and partnering with Aaron Jones. We are dedicated to doing our part to help our neighbors and strengthen our communities."

Since it began in 2002, Touchdowns for Hunger has raised more than $1.4 million to help tackle hunger in Wisconsin and has provided more than one million meals to help those in need.
