Biography
- Played in 34 games with 15 starts over four seasons (2019-22) at Oregon State, recording 47 receptions for 633 yards (13.5 avg.) and two touchdowns.
- From 2021-22, ranked No. 2 among Pacific-12 tight ends and No. 8 among tight ends in the Power Five in yards per reception (14.3) according to Stats Pass.
- Posted 80-plus receiving yards in each of the first two games in 2022 before a knee injury ended his season.
- Set career highs in 2021 in games played (13), games started (nine), receptions (22) and receiving yards (304). Also blocked a punt and returned it 27 yards for a TD.
- Was the highest-drafted tight end out of Oregon State in school history and was the highest-drafted TE by Green Bay since Bubba Franks (first round, No. 14 overall) in 2000.
- Earned first-team all-league recognition at both tight end and defensive end and earned Team MVP honors at Bend (Ore.) High School. Also was a first-team all-league selection in lacrosse as a sophomore and junior and was a champion in giant slalom and super giant slalom alpine ski racing.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
- Selected by the Packers with the first of two picks in the second round (No. 42 overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft, a pick obtained from the New York Jets along with a 2023 first-round pick (No. 13), a 2023 sixth-round pick (No. 207) and a conditional 2024 second-round pick in exchange for QB Aaron Rodgers, a 2023 first-round pick (No. 15) and a 2023 fifth-round pick (No. 170).
- Became the 10th player from Oregon State drafted by the Packers and the first since LB Nick Barnett (first round, No. 29 overall) and DT James Lee (fifth round, No. 147 overall) in 2003.
- Was the highest-drafted tight end out of Oregon State in school history and was the highest-drafted TE by Green Bay since Bubba Franks (first round, No. 14 overall) in 2000.

2022: Started the first two games before a knee injury ended his season…Finished with 11 receptions for 169 yards (15.4 avg.) and a TD…Named to the watch list for the Mackey Award prior to the season, an honor which is given annually to the nation's top tight end…Part of a Beavers team that recorded their third 10-win season in school history (10-3)…Vs. Boise State (Sept. 3): Posted six receptions for 89 yards (14.8 avg.) and a TD in the season opener, leading the team in both receptions and receiving yards. Posted two receptions on OSU's opening drive, including a 27-yarder down to the Boise State 31 on a second-and-18. Scored the first points of the game with a 27-yard TD reception with just over five minutes to play in the first quarter. On a second-and-12 in the third quarter, hauled in a 19-yard reception that helped set up an Everett Hayes FG to put the Beavers up, 27-3…At Fresno State (Sept. 10): Recorded five receptions (tied for team lead) for a team-high 80 yards (16.0 avg.). Hauled in a 30-yard reception to the Fresno State 34 on a drive that resulted in a TD to give OSU a 29-26 lead with just under two minutes to play in the game. After the Bulldogs retook the lead, posted a 28-yard reception to the Fresno State 14 in the final minute of the game that helped set up a TD on the last play of the game in the 35-32 Oregon State victory.
2021: Played in all 13 games with nine starts, recording 22 receptions for 304 yards (13.8 avg.) and his first career receiving TD…Blocked a punt and scored a TD on special teams…Posted multiple receptions in six games…Recorded 40-plus receiving yards in four contests…Registered a reception of 20-plus yards in six games…Earned a spot on the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll…Vs. Idaho (Sept. 18): Recorded three receptions for 40 yards (13.3 avg.), including a 20-yard reception on a third-and-2 down to the Idaho 4 that helped set up a TD two plays later…Vs. Utah (Oct. 23): Named the Pac-12's Special Teams Player of the Week after blocking a punt, recovering it and returning it for a 27-yard scoop-and-score in the win over the Utes...At Colorado (Nov. 6): Totaled two receptions for 44 yards (22.0 avg.), including a 31-yard catch on a first-and-20 in the second quarter…At Oregon (Nov. 27): Finished with a career-best seven receptions for 85 yards (12.1 avg.), including a career-long 35-yard grab and his first career offensive TD. Led the team in both receptions and receiving yards. Hauled in a 25-yard reception out to the 50-yard line on a drive that finished with a 38-yard field goal by Hayes in the first quarter. His TD came from 4 yards out on the first drive of the second half…Vs. Utah State (Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl, Dec. 18): Posted three catches for 44 yards (14.7 avg.), finishing No. 2 on the team in both categories. Two of his three receptions went for first downs. With the Beavers trailing by seven early in the second half, hauled in a 22-yard reception to the Utah State 33.
2020: Played in all seven games with three starts and posted 12 receptions for 142 yards (11.8 avg.)…Recorded multiple receptions in four games…Finished No. 4 on the team in catches and tied for No. 6 in receiving yards…Was named to the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll…Vs. Washington State (Nov. 7): Totaled a season-best four receptions for a season-high 56 yards (14.0 avg.) in the season opener, including a season-long 29-yard catch that put the Beavers at the Washington State 2 on a drive that resulted in a TD. His 56 yards were the second most on the team…At Washington (Nov. 14): Led the team with 25 yards on two receptions (12.5 avg.), with both catches resulting in first downs.
2019: Played in all 12 games, making one start as a freshman…Registered two receptions for 18 yards (9.0 avg.) and two tackles…Vs. Cal Poly (Sept. 14): Posted a pair of receptions for 18 yards (9.0 avg.), including a 14-yard grab.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned first-team all-league recognition at both tight end and defensive end as a senior at Bend (Ore.) Senior High School…As a senior, posted a team-leading 31 receptions for 563 yards (18.2 avg.) and four TDs along with 42 tackles on defense…Earned team MVP honors…Was also a three-year letterwinner in lacrosse and competed in ski racing and track…Earned first-team all-league recognition in lacrosse as a sophomore and junior…Also attended Skyview High School in Vancouver, Wash.
PERSONAL: Given name Luke Stone Musgrave…Born in Pittsburgh, Pa. ...His father, Doug Musgrave, was a two-year letterwinner (1991-1992) at Oregon at quarterback…His uncle, Bill Musgrave, a longtime NFL assistant coach, lettered at Oregon from 1987-90 and played quarterback in the NFL from 1991 to 1998 for the Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts…As a teenager, won several skiing events in both the United States and Europe after starting to ski at the age of 4.
