Aaron Jones nominated for NFL ground player of the week

Packers running back rushed for a career-high 145 yards Sunday

GREEN BAY – Packers running back Aaron Jones has been nominated for the FedEx ground player of the week for Week 10, the NFL announced Tuesday.

Jones rushed for a career-high 145 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries (9.7 yards per attempt) during Sunday's 31-12 win over the Miami Dolphins.

The second-year running back has now rushed for 494 yards and four touchdowns on 73 carries in seven games (four starts) this season. His average of 6.8 yards per carry currently leads the NFL.

Jones previously won the award last year after rushing for 131 yards and a touchdown against the New Orleans Saints.

Fans can vote for Jones here. Also nominated for the award are Cleveland's Nick Chubb (176 yards and a touchdown in a 28-16 win over Atlanta) and Dallas' Ezekiel Elliott (151 yards and a touchdown in a 27-20 win over Philadelphia).

When the winners are announced, FedEx will donate $2,000 to the USO in each of their names through FedEx Cares.
